Our Story

to yours.
Anzazi Kiti missed her mother’s coastal cooking. Not just the meals. The afternoons that ran long. The way a table filled up and nobody wants to leave.
She was a student then, far from that kitchen. So she tried to put it in a jar — for herself, for her sister. Something to open on a hard week and be home in a single spoonful.
Then she started cooking for friends. They came for an evening and stayed for the night. They asked what was in it. They went home with a jar, and a week later they were back — and they brought people.
She never set out to start anything. The table did that.
Word travelled the way a good meal does: one gathering at a time, each one a little fuller than the last. So she gave it a name. Siri. Secret, in Swahili.
